While the pandemic has taken its toll on people’s health and well-being, it has also led to increased health and well-being consciousness and priorities across the board. At times like this, timely government influence and effective public-private partnerships have instilled a sense of confidence, both in the economy as well as in an individual’s health and overall well-being.

Earlier this year, we spoke to 11,922 people across the world to understand how their priorities have changed two years after the worst of the global pandemic. Cigna experts evaluated countries across the world on various indices to arrive at a wellbeing index. The results have turned out quite impressive for the UAE

The UAE’s overall well-being grew by 2.1, the highest in the world
The country has ranked #1 among destinations for expats across the Middle East, Africa and Asia region
Our financial well-being index score has improved, reflective of the growth of the UAE economy and job opportunities in the past year
Residents’ priorities are shifting towards on high-quality family time
Increased choices are enabling people to re-evaluate their lifestyle and workplace
